Letter of recommendation from Don Anderson, Chandler Christian Church for publicity efforts on "Drive Thru Prayer".

John Kirk

Director of Communications, International Sportsmen's Exposition

"We have five consumer events in five states, have been in business since 1975 and each year work with more than 1000 companies in the outdoor-sports industry, bringing them nearly 150,000 qualified consumers for face-to-face sales opportunity. Getting the word out is essential. In addition to advertising, we increasingly fuse publicity and promotions with social media.

This year we selected Scott Kelly of Black Dog Promotions to handle publicity for our Arizona event.

Scott is the most responsive, connected, aggressive, hardest-working, informed and, it appears, successful publicity person I’ve ever worked with in more than a decade.

However, it’s hugely inaccurate to limit him to PR. He’s a promotional force of nature—that’s a very, very good thing.

Never in our Phoenix show's history have we had so much pre-show PR or as much PR lined up for the show this early.

I not only hope to work with Scott in Phoenix, but other markets next year. He’s that good, and a blast to work with, too."

VP of Operations and Co-Owner MedToGo International

Details of the Recommendation: "Scott gets it done!

We had our second interview with him December 22nd, 2010 and phoned him later that evening to inform him that we would be hiring Black Dog Promotions to manage our PR. The next day he called me to schedule a TV interview with Fox News.

He has officially been on our clock for 19 days and has already landed us 3 Arizona TV spots. We have a fourth tomorrow and an interview with the AZ Republic a few days after that.

He has about 3-4 other opportunities about to jump on.

The great thing about all this PR is he followed the news, found a niche related to our industry that would drive interest, and he jumped on it. He is creating opportunity where most would struggle to think outside the box.

In the short time I have known and worked with him, I am impressed and would be happy to speak with anyone considering Scott Kelly and Black Dog Promotions for PR services.  January 19, 2011

“I would highly recommend Scott Kelly for future teaching and classroom presentations. He delivered a dynamic presentation to my Advertising-MKT263 class on March 29, 2010, and I was very impressed with his speaking ability, professionalism, punctuality, and scope of experience. The content Scott presented was up to date, as he relayed up and coming advertising trends to the class and shared his years of expertise and knowledge of what works in an advertising campaign. I liked how Scott was able to connect with the students and how he gave them helpful tips and advise to apply in their life. Overall, a complete success! April 21, 2010

Letter of recommendation letter:

To Whom It May Concern,

This letter is in reference to Scott Kelly. Scott is involved with Junior Achievement of Arizona and has been working as a volunteer on our behalf since 2006. Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization that teaches young people financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness skills to inspire and prepare them to succeed in a global economy. Scott has facilitated JA programs for six classrooms and also acted as a volunteer consultant in both JA BizTown, a simulated economy and “town” run by 5th and 6th grade students and JA Finance Park, a simulation for 8th and 9th grade students to increase their financial capability. Scott also recently led the JA You’re Hired! Preparatory program for a high school class in Chandler , AZ.

Scott serves as a role model to students, and when volunteering in the classroom meets with them weekly for one class period for 5-7 visits. During each visit, he was required to teach his assigned classroom a JA lesson. Prior to each lesson, he spent time reviewing the activities and incorporating his personal and professional experiences into the lesson. During JA BizTown and JA Finance Park he spent a full day consulting with a small group of students to help them meet their goals and objectives including balancing a budget, running a business and paying off a business loan. With JA You’re Hired! he worked with the teacher to identify which lessons best met the students developmental needs and would best prepare them to compete at our JA You’re Hired! Challenge where they would enter into workplace skills competitions and seek internships or summer jobs. He led activities to help improve efficacy, build confidence and practice employability skills such as interviewing, maintaining your work ethic, and dressing professionally. Our feedback from all the teachers that Scott worked with was very positive. As someone who is able to present effectively to a variety of students and who follows through with his commitments, Scott is a wonderful asset to Junior Achievement. We appreciate his commitment to youth and to this important mission.

Sincerely,

Melissa S. Leasher
Director, Program Development
Junior Achievement of Arizona
